Jessie Nell Davis

Jessie Nell Stubblefield Davis, 84, of Plano, Texas, passed away at her home on Wednesday, September 3, 2014. Jessie was born on December 18, 1929 to John and Cleo Stubblefield. She was a very creative person. Her daughter said, "If there is anything that can be created, she was able to do it!" Her passion was rocks. As a rockhound, she loved to go on rock hunting trips and use her finds in many artistic ways. She also took great joy in sharing her love of rocks with children, often teaching them how to appreciate the rocks as she did. Jessie is survived by her daughter, Connie Davis; her son Wes (Donna) Davis; her grandsons, Wade (Kylie) Davis and Jake (Shaunte) Davis and her great granddaughters, Macie, Meredith and Molly Davis. Jessie was preceded in death by her husband, James Morris Davis. The family will receive friends and family at a visitation to take place on Friday, September 5, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 2925 5th Street, Sachse, Texas 75048. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Jessie will take place Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will take place immediately following at Restland Cemetery in Dallas.
