Jesse Hernandez

Jesse Hernandez Sr. age 77 of Garland, Texas passed away March 6, 2022. He was born January 21, 1945 in Dallas, Texas to Ramon Hernandez Sr. and Alejandra Rodriguez.

Jesse was a hard working man who took pride in his trade as a painter up until his retirement. He was a kind-hearted husband, father, brother, grandfather
and great-grandfather who was known as "Gebo" to his grandchildren and "Big Jesse" to his friends.

Jesse enjoyed spending time with his family whether it was talking about the old days, watching football, or playing dominos. He loved his scratch-offs and always said he was going to win the big one and drive to Austin.

If he made fun of you, that just meant he liked you. He was a prankster that loved to make people laugh. When you talked to him on the phone, you would never hear him say "bye," just a phone click. If you ever needed a favor or help fixing something, he would do his best to help you even if he didn't know what to do or how
to fix it.

Jesse is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years: Elisa Hernandez children; Jesse Hernandez Jr. and wife Doris, Tina Marie Hernandez, Priscilla Ruiz and husband
Lupe Jr. ; grandchildren Jesse Hernandez III, Vanessa Hernandez, Leticia Hernandez and Selena Ruiz; and 8 great grandkids Ariana, Jesse IV, Christian, Anthony, Mia, Jimmy, Ziva and Isaiah; 2 brothers Raymond Hernandez, Albert Pineda; 4 sisters Carmen Barrientos, Vicky Barrientos, Mary Louise Martinez and Frances Pineda; He was preceded in death by 1 grandson; Guadalupe Ruiz III, his parents Mr. and Mrs. Ramon Hernandez Sr. and 1 brother Thomas Pineda.
