Jerry Murrayne Hebert was born in Dallas, Tx July 24, 1943. She was the oldest daughter of Mary and Murry Estes. She graduated from Garland High School, but quickly found the love of her life, Jerome Hebert, at age 17 in Florida. They met while both working for a radio station rubbing elbows with celebrities such as Conway Twitty. They were married in Georgia and it was on the steps of the courthouse, they flipped a coin to decide their first home. Heads New York, tails Texas, Texas won!!
Jerry had three Children, Sheila, Derek, and Erek Hebert. While raising three children, she still managed to work full time. Eventually she opened up her own company called Dallas Magnetic Imaging, selling software to hospitals throughout the nation. She spent her free time volunteering for organizations such as The American Business Women's Association, where she eventually rose to be president of the Garland Chapter. She started multiple companies with a niche for
sales throughout her life.
Jerry was a strong evangelical member of the Baptist Church. She taught many Sunday school classes, Women's groups, and was involved with the Children's Ministry. She was bold in her faith and would share it with everyone.
Jerry and Jerome retired in Canada where they spent 4 years. There they met many friends and were very active in the Comox Community. She led a women's weekly Bible study and they also led a Bible study on the book of Revelation. Family ties quickly moved them back home to Texas where they found their last home in Sulfur Springs.
