Jeremy Joseph Westerman, born October 1, 1990, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 2 , 2018. Jeremy graduated in May 2017 from the University of Texas at Dallas with a degree in Business, but chose to pursue his passion in physical fitness by working as a personal trainer for 24 Hour Fitness in Murphy, Texas and most recently transferred to their Mesquite location where he accepted a promotion as Fitness Manager.Jeremy was dedicated to his work and his clients. His goal in life was to help as many people as possible achieve their goals and enjoy healthier lives. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Harold and Nina Fuller of Garland, TX, and Emil Westerman of Ponca City, Oklahoma.Jeremy is survived by a special friend in his life, Lauren Ellis of McKinney, TX, his parents Marty and Diana Westerman of Murphy, Texas, his brother Justin Westerman and Ashton Tinney of Denton, TX, two step-sisters Jill Wickham and husband Josh of Piedmont, OK and Jennifer Meek of Edmond, OK along with seven nieces and nephews, grandmother Bennie Jo Westerman of Ponca City, OK, aunts Linda Binon and husband Dennis of Allen, TX, Harrolyn Black and husband Thomas “Butch” of Garland, TX, along with an extensive Westerman family of five uncles, six aunts, and numerous cousins from the Oklahoma area.Jeremy was truly loved and will be missed by many, but God had a better plan for him. Jeremy proudly wore his “Trust Your Struggle” tattoo across his chest that referenced Romans 5:3-5 “More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”May our precious son be at rest in the loving arms of his Father.Visitation will be at Charles A Smith Funeral Home in Sachse, Texas on Saturday, January 6th from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.Services will be held on Sunday, January 7th at 2:00 p.m. at Charles W. Smith Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow the service at Plano Mutual Cemetery on 18th street in Plano, Texas.
