Jeffrey Earl Smith

Jeffrey Earl Smith, age 50, of Royse City, Texas, passed away on Friday, May 18, 2018 at his home after a brave and hard fought battle with cancer. Jeff was born in Washington, DC on MArch 1, 1968 to Earl W. Smith, Jr. and Carrie Taylor Smith.He grew up in Virginia and West Virginia, graduating from Morgantown High School in 1968 and West Virginia University in 1991.He started his career as a corporate trainer for Southwestern Bell/ATT in Richardson, eventually accepting position as a Development Coach for Hilton Worldwide in Carrollton managing a team of customer service agents in the Reservations & Customer Care Department.

Jeff's dedication to training and development showed in the care and attention he devoted to his staff of agents.Jeff is survived by his wife of 23 years, Heidi Starsick Smith; sons Alec, Trevor and Noah Smith of Royse City, TX. and sister Debra Smith Thompson and family of Sandy, UT. Jeff was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Ruth Taylor; maternal grandfather, James Taylor; paternal grandmother, Emma Bacurin Smith; paternal grandfather, Earl W. Smith Sr.; a cousin, Justin Taylor; and a cousin, Kevin Taylor.Memorial Services will be held for Jeff at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 25, 2018.I lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.Services entrusted to Charles W.
