Jeffrey Marvin Fuhrmeister, age 63, passed away on May 4, 2021 in Dallas, TX with his hands held by his wife and children after a long battle with rheumatoid arthritis and pulmonary fibrosis. Jeff was blessed as the recipient of a double lung transplant on June 5, 2020 which gave him an extra 11 months with his loved ones. Jeff went into rejection in October of 2020 but never stopped smiling and cracking jokes with anyone who would listen.
Jeff was born to Marvin and Loretta Fuhrmeister in Willmar, MN on June 17, 1957. He received his education in Clara City, MN and Ridgewater College in Willmar, MN.
On October 17, 1993 he married the love of his life, Kimberly Sanchez, in Chicago, IL. The couple resided in Chicago until 1997 when they moved to Texas. Jeff and Kim were blessed with three children, Amanda, Jeffrey Jr., and Sarah. Jeff enjoyed traveling, comedy, and spending time with his children and grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents. Jeff is survived by his wife Kimberly, his step-daughter Amanda (Jon) Thompson of Wylie, TX, his son Jeffrey (Sadi) Fuhrmeister of Dallas, TX, his daughter Sarah (Steven) Wilkie of Lubbock, TX, and his grandchild Christian Thompson.
Jeff is also survived by his sisters Wendy Fuhrmeister of Hutchinson, MN, Peggy (Gary) Christianson of Hutchinson, MN, Julie (Mitch) Hufana of San Antonio, TX, his brother Jerry (Dawn) Fuhrmeister of Centerville, MN, and many nieces and nephews.
