Jeffery Charles Hull

Jeffery Charles Hull departed this life on the 11th day of September 2018.

Jeff was born in Joplin, Missouri, February 3, 1955; moved with his parents Charles E. and Nancy L. Hull to Valley Center, Kansas in 1959, where he attended kindergarten through high school, graduating in 1973. He then attended Friends University on art scholarships.

Mr. Hull was active in community affairs serving on the Valley Center Bicentennial Committee in 1976. He is also the founder and an original incorporator of the Valley Center Historical and Cultural Society and served as an officer.

Jeffery Hull became involved in local politics serving as the Kansas Young Republican Chairman and son thereafter moved to Topeka, Kansas serving as a Special Agent of Consumer Protection in the Office of the Kansas Attorney General. He was delegate aide for the Kansas Republication delegation to the 1980 Republican National Convention in Detroit Michigan, helping to nominate Ronald Regan as President of the United States.

While working in Topeka, he met Virginia Louise Rush and they were married on March 6, 1981. Later that same year the family moved to Dallas, Texas and eventually settled in McKinney, Texas. While in McKinney Jeff held positions on the City of McKinney Library Board and the McKinney Arts Commission.

Jeffery was baptized and at the time of his passing he was a faithful Catholic. He served as Vice President, Treasurer and President of the Saint Michael Catholic Church Saint Vincent de Paul Conference, Vice President and then president of the Dallas Diocese Society of Saint Vincent de Paul 4th District. He was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus, a Lector, Sacristan, Mass Coordinator and daily communicant.

He enjoyed business and held many retail positions in his lifetime, beginning with his first job at the Kwik Shop in Valley Center, Kansas. He was known for his effective management abilities and his passion for customer service.

His true love was his family. He leaves his immediate family as a devoted and loving husband, a caring dad and an extremely doting and proud grandfather. He was the Hull family genealogist and family historian. He also enjoyed his work organizing the Hull Descendants Day family reunion each year.

Jeffery Hull leaves behind his loving widow, Virginia Louise Hull, Daughter Tamara, Son David and wife Brandy. Five grandchildren, Kyler Smith, Madison Chapman, Orion Chapman, Katelyn Smith and Jayden Smith all of McKinney. His brother, Michael, along with many cousins also remains. He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Nancy Hull, Grandparents Clyde and Otha Hull and Ester and Clarence Wall. The Reverend Albert M. Jones Esther's first husband also precedes him.

He remained devoted and faithful to his Savior and family until his death. He was blessed with the sacrament of Catholic burial in Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, McKinney, Texas and is buried in the Historic Pecan Grove Cemetery, McKinney, Texas, for which he served on the board of Directors as President, coordinated annual Memorial Day Tributes and there awaits the summons from on high.
