Jeffery Len Bowers, 59, of Garland, formerly of Perry, Oklahoma, died Monday September 15, 2014.

Mr. Bowers was born July 7, 1955, to Gene Willard and Ella May Bowers in Perry, Oklahoma. He grew up in Amarillo and then attended The University of Texas in Arlington where he received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture.

Jeffery was a very devoted father, friend, and architect. He enjoyed golfing with his close friends, taking care of his dog Bond, and studying the Bible. His greatest joy was giving freely to others. He was always gracious with his time and more than willing to help those in need. His family was blessed by his loving heart and his unconditional support. They are especially thankful that he never failed to model Christ for them.

Jeffery passed from this life to be with his Lord and Savior on September 15, 2014, at his home in Garland.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Ella May Bowers.

Jeffery is survived by his son, Brock Anthony Bowers of Los Angeles; his two daughters, Natalie Gene Ortiz and husband Oscar of San Antonio, and Meredith Alexi Stewart and husband Raymon of Washington D.C.; his brothers Bradley Gene Bowers and wife Nancy of Castle Rock, Colo., Gregory Lee Bowers and wife Deborah Lee of Greensboro, N.C.; and his sister Kimberly Jo Thompson and husband Trent of Amarillo; his former wife Suzanne Bowers of Sachse, Tx.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Lake Highlands Church in Dallas with Jim Reynolds officiating. Arrangements are by Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home.
