Jean Stone Haney, age 74, of Sachse, Texas, passed away at 10:21 P.M. in her home in Sachse on Sunday, May 31, 2015. She was born March 27, 1941 in Nacogdoches, Texas to Harlan "Hoss" and Vivina Stone. She married her "Hunk", Charles Austin Haney, Sr. on July 20, 1968.
Jean loved cooking, playing the piano, singing, working in her garden, reading, playing cards games, but most of all, spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ramona Haney Mier; her husband; her parents; step-mom, Phyliss Stone; and her in-laws, Charlie and Lona Haney.
Jean is survived by her four daughters, Wanda Demel of Levelland, Texas, Jina Jophlin of Athens, Texas, Kathy Haney Sampey and her husband, Emmett Sampey, Sr. of Hammond, Louisiana, and Michelle Haney of Sachse, Texas; son, Charles Austin Haney, Jr. of Hammond, Louisiana; eighteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and her beloved four legged daughter, Krickett Haney of Sachse, Texas.
