Jason Michael Pierce, 40, of Wylie, passed away Monday.
He was born to Michael and Linda Pierce, Oct. 3, 1973, in Gainesville, TX. Jason graduated from Wylie High School in 1992, and was in the process of pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in criminal justice at UTD.
Jason was a police officer for 20 years working for the City of Richardson and then Dallas County Community College District where he was Captain. He was an active member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Wylie, Leadership Garland, and the Texas Municipal Police Association. He loved to play golf, hunt, fish, and spend time with his family.
Jason is survived by his three children, Garrett, Colton, and Caitlyn, his brother Matt, sister-in-law Sarah, and nephews Luke, James, and Michael.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to Texas Police Officers Memorial Foundation, or other law enforcement. www.pomf.org
A visitation will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday at the Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home in Sachse. Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Wylie.
