Janice Fay Giannini

Janice Fay Giannini, 86, of Garland, Texas, passed away peacefully in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, surrounded by her children. Janice, one of nine siblings, was born in Garland, TX on July 14, 1933 to Myrtle and John Trousdale, and attended Garland High School (long live Dashing Debs!). She spent her youth in Garland, raised her family in Rhode Island, and returned to Texas, the place she always called home, to spend her later years.

Janice is survived by her two sons, Mark (m. Adriana Villaburu) and Steven Giannini, daughters Teresa and Carolyn Giannini (m. Lindsey English), grandsons James, Joshua and Jordan, sisters Janette Carroccia, Doris Donham and Nola Hicks, and several generations of nieces and nephews.

What gave Janice most joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was also an avid square dancer and enjoyed reading, traveling, movies, and shopping.

What stood out most with Janice was her kindness and generosity towards others. She had a friendly, disarming spirit and an easy laugh, which made people very comfortable in her presence. She was adored by her family and friends and will be deeply missed.

A memorial service for Janice will be held on Saturday, August 24th, 12:00pm, at Preparing The Way Church, 2442 W. Jefferson Blvd, Dallas, TX 75211.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity that targets brain research/lewy body dementia.
