Janet Louise Long

Janet Long, age 80 of Richardson, Texas passed away peacefully on May 12, 2021 in Dallas, Texas. She was born on July 31, 1940 in Lodi, Ohio. Janet had a degree in graphic design and worked as a book and print work illustrator. She was a voracious reader, gifted artist, avid traveler and loved all things nature. She gave selflessly, loved unconditionally and was happiest when she was around her friends and family.

She was preceded in death by and is now reunited with, her parents Ray and Nina Wright, her husband of 50 years Bob, and her son Jeff.

Those left to cherish her memory, son Bruce Long and wife Beth, daughter Judy Arion and husband Mike, sister Gayle Meador, grandkids Jordan, Logan, Jackie, and Tracy. Great-grandkids Knox, Stella, Remy, Wilder, and Bodhi.

A Celebration of Life in honor Janet will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Charles W. Smith Funeral Home Lavon - Chapel, 2343 Lake Rd., Lavon , Texas 75166
