Jan Douglas Dooley, 54 of Garland, Texas, formerly of Taylorville, died on Thursday, November 24, 2011 at his residence.
He was born September 25, 1957 in Taylorville, the son of James and Dorothy Dooley.
Surviving are his brothers: Jim Dooley of Chatham, Jerrold Dooley of Taylorville, and Joe and wife Nancy Dooley of Taylorville. Sisters: Sandra Kay Heath and companion Buck of Virden, Jamella and husband Beryl Reese of Chatham, and Janet and husband Ronnie Hughes of Texas, and sister-in-law Mary Dooley of Taylorville. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and aunts.
Preceded in death by his parents James and Dorothy Dooley, brother Jeff Dooley, and grandparents.
Celebration of Jan's life will be Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Harbor Point in Garland, Texas.
Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home of Sachse, Texas are in charge of the cremation, and an inurnment will be at a later date.
Jan was a loving brother, uncle, great-uncle, and a friend to everyone he met. He loved to hunt, fish, play shuffle board, and to shoot pool.
He will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends.
