Jemil 'JD" Irwin was born onto Charles and Laura Irwin on February 15, 1989.Jemil "Mills" as his mother would lovingly call him, was Charles and Laura's first born Son.
On Wednesday, February 21, 2024, Jemil was called home at the age of 35.
The Lord was first in Jemil's life, with whom he had a personal relationship with. Family and Friends knew Jemil best for his calm spirit, his handsome smile, his intellectual conversations (even as a small child) and the love that he had for his family. Jemil was a loyal Son, protective Brother and Fun Uncle. Jemil was an extremely kind and generous person who was always willing to help others. He was a gentle giant who everyone could rely on.
Jemil worked as an IT Specialist with a degree in Criminal Justice from Baker University in 2020. Jemil also held an Associate's degree in Business Administration and Management from State Fair Community College.
In Jemil's personal time he volunteered IT services for his home Church, as well as participated in local volunteering projects to combat homelessness and starvation. Jemil enjoyed scuba diving, riding his motorcycle and being part of the Iron Legacy Motorcycle Club brotherhood.
Jemil was preceded in external life by his Maternal Grandparents William Bryant Sr, Henry and Elcena Buie. Paternal Grandparents, Marvin and Charlene Canady.
Jemil will forever be missed and was survived by his paternal grandparents Sharon and Steve Fannin, parents Charles and Laura Irwin, sister Bianca Smith, brother Trevor Irwin, brother-in-law Truman Smith and Timothy Wells, favorite cousins and bonus siblings Jasmine Jackson and Christopher Galloway, nephew Taj Wells, Phoenix Smith, Israel Smith (Izzy), niece Lai Smith and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.
