James "Russell" Terry, 48, of Wylie, Texas, lost his courageous battle with COVID-19 on December 5, 2021.
Russell was born on October 8, 1973 to father Jerald Walter Terry, who proceeds him in death and mother Linda Sue Terry, who survives. Russell is survived by his brothers Michael Terry and Donald Terry.
Russell married Michelle Renae Bluestein on May 27, 2007. He is survived by his loving wife, Michelle Terry; son Ethan "Kyle" Terry; son James "Brandon" Terry; daughter Kaitlyn "Katie" Terry; daughter Lily Terry; son Ryker Terry; grandson James "Pete" Heese; and grandson Aaron Heese.
Russell acquired life-long friendships with his Wylie transportation/bus barn family and very much enjoyed the time he spent working there. He also spent years looking at life through a lens. Behind a camera was one of his favorite places to be. Practicing his passion in photography led him to meet many amazing people who positively impacted his life. He used his gift of photography to share to others through teaching photography and found great joy in doing so.
In his free time, you would often find Russell out in the countryside riding his motorcycle, camping with his family, or spending time outdoors. Russell also loved to be creative, expressing his talent through drawing, painting, and 3-D printing. He was a bit of a foodie who loved to cook and try new recipes to share with his family. Russell's sense of humor, his laughter, and his presence will be truly missed.
A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Lake View Cemetery at 2343 Lake Rd. Lavon, Texas 75166.
