James Alan Staehle

October 25, 1966 — April 27, 2018

James Staehle, 51, of Garland Texas, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 27, 2018, after succumbing to his long battle with cancer. James was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on October 25, 1966 to Harry and Patsy (Miller) Staehle.

James graduated from Tulsa Christian Academy in 1985, where he simultaneously earned his Eagle Scout Award. James attended Tulsa Community College in 1987 with an Associates of Science in Radiology Technology. James dedicated his career to helping children. He started his career as an MRI Technologist at St. Francis in Tulsa Oklahoma then when he moved to Dallas, Texas, he furthered his career at Medical City of Dallas and then transitioned to Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, where his hard work and leadership earned him the position of MRI Department Manager. James married the love of his life, Chandra Childers on November 15, 2002 in Plano, TX at City Hall.

James was a very kind and gentle soul who was loved by everyone who knew him. His laugh was contagious and brought joy to many, there’s not enough words to describe the attitude of his presence. He loved nothing more than God, his wife Chandra, and his family. James loved to spend time outdoors with his family riding bicycles, playing golf, and going to the shooting range. James enjoyed his time indoors watching his favorite sports teams, the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Stars, and the Oklahoma Sooners.

James is survived by his wife Chandra Staehle, his three children Tommy, Haley, and Delaney, his brothers David Staehle and Phil Staehle, and his sisters Karen (Staehle) Simmons and Barbara (Staehle) Sartin. James is preceded in death by his father and mother Harry and Patsy Staehle and his sister Debbie Staehle.

James will always be a part of everyone who knew him. He was adamant that his family and friends celebrate his life, not mourn his passing. He wanted everyone to know that he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and that he was excited to be going home to be with his Lord. Though the cycle of life and death is natural, it is never easy. James requested that you not be sad; he has requested that each of you please share your favorite and happy memories of him. Let us rejoice together the life that we were able to share.

James and Chandra will always and forever love each other and James will always be in the hearts of the individuals that had the blessing of knowing him.
