James Lowell Moore

James Lowell Moore, age 76 of Farmersville, Texas, passed away on October 13, 2017 at his home. He was born on July 20, 1941 in Olton, Texas to Joe and Corine (Francis) Moore. James served in the U.S. Air Force and worked as an engineer for Texas Instruments for thirty-five years before he retired.

James, also known as Daddy, Big Jim, and Papa Jim, enjoyed woodworking, rebuilding classic cars and motorcycles, and was a huge Green Bay Packers fan. He was known for being a great friend and helping his neighbors with whatever they asked of him. James also liked to sit on the porch and watch the traffic and the trains pass by. Although he had many interests and hobbies, his favorite thing to do was spend time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. James’ memory will live on through the stories that will be passed on from generation to generation amongst his family and friends.

James is survived by one daughter, Kathy Bucko and husband, Randall Bucko; two sons, Galen Tracy Moore and wife, Candy Rose Moore, and Michael Moore and wife, Tammy Pressel; five grandchildren, Josh Moore and wife Stephanie, Justin Moore and wife Misti, Stephanie Heinkel, Dustin Pressel, and Collin Moore; four great-grandchildren, Molly Moore, Micah Florez, Gracin Moore, and Blair Moore; and one sister, Robbie Head. He was preceded in death his parents; son, David Wayne Moore; great-granddaughter, Gracie Moore; and sister, Jonelle Smith.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 23, 2017 at Charles W. Smith and Sons Chapel, 660 E. Hwy 380, Princeton, Texas 75407.
