James was born September 19, 1943, in Arlington, Texas to Van Luttrell and Lou Luttrell. James gained his wings on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Texas Health Presbyterian in Dallas, Texas.
James’ greatest achievements were the devotion and love he had for his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. James was married to the love of his life, Carolyn, for 37 years. He was a member of the Masons. James worked for Alcatel and retired from the company after 40 years, and then went on to work for GISD for several more years. He has a great passion for carving and painting. He loved movies, going out to eat, and spending the day with family. James also loved his fur baby, Peanut. James leaves his loved ones with so many great memories and loving stories. He is so very much loved and wholeheartedly missed.
James is survived by son, Brian Luttrell and granddaughter Betty Ann Luttrell; daughter, Deanie Neece and husband, Tim, grandson, Brandon Neece and wife, Macy, great granddaughter, Willodene, great grandson, Wyatt, and grandson, TJ Neece; son, Mark Flippen and wife, Julie, granddaughters, Kaylea Baxter and husband, Brad, Logan Scott and husband, Mason, and great granddaughter, Lennon; son, Michael Luttrell and wife Tammy, granddaughter, Alyssa Luttrell, and grandson, Kyle Luttrell; sisters Lou Ann and husband, Buddy and family, Karen, and family.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Van, and Lou; wife, Carolyn Luttrell; daughter, Deanna Luttrell; daughter-in-law, Tina Flippen; granddaughters, McKenzie Luttrell, and Kristen Dugger; and great-granddaughter Candance.
