James Edward Grigsby known to us as "Eddie" of Howe, TX was born July 8, 1962 in Dallas, TX to William Talmadge and Dorothy Evelyn Grigsby. He was the youngest of four children. Eddie passed away in the early morning of his home on May 28, 2022.
Eddie was a loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He didn't know a stranger, and he had a HUGE heart. He was kind, generous, supportive, would do anything for anyone and would literally give them the shirt off his back. He was also a little wild and carefree, but that's what we loved. He didn't sugar coat anything and he told it to you how it was. He wasn't afraid to hurt your feelings, he gave it to you straight!
Eddie's career started out working for his father in the excavation industry and when his father passed away in 1984, he ventured out and had other jobs working for different companies. He was in the construction, excavation, and dirt work business his entire life. He was a hard worker and a dedicated employee. Those who knew Eddie knew what an amazing man he was.
He loved being outdoors, he loved his chickens, he loved to garden (he got those things from his momma). He also loved his food! I don't think there's anything he wouldn't eat! Most of the time he would walk around and work either barefoot or in flip flops.
Eddie is survived by his son, Chad Lee Grigsby; his mother, Dorothy Grigsby, his sister Janie Martin and husband Rickey, his niece Kelly Reagan and husband Chase; his nephew Micheal "Jason" Hardin and wife Kimberly "Kim"; 2 great nieces, a great nephew, and several cousins.
Eddie was preceded in death by his father William Talmadge Grigsby, his sister Evelyn Ann Hardin, brother William Donald Grigsby, his grandparents many aunts, uncles, cousins, and twin great nephews.
