James (Jimmy) Edward Evans left his earthly home and went to join his wife, Bobby Joe Evans on April 23, 2012 at his home in Mesquite, Texas.
He was born April 20, 1920 in Munger, Texas in Limestone County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adelaide and Jacob Evans, wife Bobbye Jo Evans, and brother Joseph Evans. He is survived by his sister, Mildred Evans Chandler of Dallas; his daughter, Judy Evans Milby and husband, Bobby of Rockwall, TX; son, Bryce Evans & wife Becky of Mesquite, TX ; 6 grandchildren Tina Milby Katzmann & husband Jeff of Rockwall; James Evans, II and wife, Christy of Mesquite, Tara Milby Moffatt & husband Kevin of Rockwall, TX; Rebecca Evans of Mesquite, Bryce David Evans and wife Shawna of Frisco and Jana Jo Evans of Mesquite; & 10 great and 4 great-great grandchildren . He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. "Papaw’s" quiver was full.
The family wants to thank his special friend, Sammie Coats and her family, for all they have done for him the last three year.
He retired from Sanger-Harris after many years of service.
Jimmy Evans was an extraordinary son, brother, husband, father, and Pa-paw. He will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. April 24th at Eastgate Funeral Home.
Services will be held at Eastgate Funeral Home Wednesday April 25, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Dawson Cemetery in Dawson, TX., with Bro.Charles Wilson officiating. Services entrusted to Eastgate Funeral Home.
