Age 92, Passed from this life to be with the Lord and his beloved wife Theresa on February 9, 2019.
James was born to Steaphen and Ila Chennault Smyrna Mississippi. He enlisted in the Navy in 1942 at the age of 16 and proudly served his country during WW2.
James married Theresa Janice Staton in 1949 and had 3 children. James and Theresa were Charter members of the Lavon Drive Baptist Church in Garland Texas where they were devoted congregants.
James, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and proud Navy veteran is preceded in death by his parents and beloved wife Theresa.
He is survived by son, Steve Chennault and wife Vicki, daughter Beky Chennault, and son Andy Chennault and wife Sharon, 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. www.woundedwarriorproject.org
Visitation will be Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 6 to 8 pm at Charles W Smith & Sons Funeral Home in Sachse Tx.
Funeral services are Sunday, February 17, 2019, 2 pm, at Charles W Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Sachse Chapel, 2925 Fifth St, Sachse TX 75048, 972-414-5050. Dr. Gary Coleman will officiate the services.
Burial will be Monday, February 18, 2019 at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211 at 10 am.
Services entrusted to Charles W. Smith & Sons of Sachse, Texas.
