James Virgil Carriger

James Virgil Carriger, Jr, 67, resident of Farmersville, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 in McKinney, Texas.
A memorial service will the held in the chapel at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home in Sachse, Texas on October 29, 2022 at 10:00 AM.
James (Jim) was born December 2, 1954 in Texarkana, Texas to James and Mary Carriger. He spent many years working as an Automotive Technician at various dealers in the Dallas area.
He married Sammie Marie DeChearo in San Angelo, Texas on August 17, 1974 and they enjoyed 48 years of marriage. James can be remembered for his many hobbies such as knife making, Harley Davidson motorcycles, classic cars, love of dogs, and leatherworking. He was always looking for his next project to keep him busy.
James is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Sammie Carriger of Farmersville Texas, sister-in-law, Mary Nell McDonald and husband, Phil of Fairview Texas; niece, Michelle Fieker and husband Ryan of Dallas Texas, nephew Jerry McDonald and wife Jessica of Rowlett, Texas
Memorial donations in Jim's name may be made to the American Kidney Fund.
