82, of Sachse, Texas passed away November 15, 2012 in Plano, Texas. He was born January 23, 1930 in Godley, Texas to Commodore Newton and Ola Smith Bryant.
James was resident of Sachse for fifty-one years and retired from Kraft Foods. He was a Deacon and Charter Member of the First Baptist Church of Sachse.
James was preceded in death by his son, William Gerald Bryant; grandson, Ronnie Baker; and his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Bryant; two daughters, Linda Baker and her husband, John and Brenda Baker and her husband, James; son, David Bryant and his wife, Cheryl; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Bryant; and sister, Louise Akin.
Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 2925 5th Street, Sachse, Texas 75048.
Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, November 18, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Sachse, 2412 3rd Street, Sachse, Texas 75048. Reverend Billy Harris, Reverend Jim Everidge and Reverend Josh King officiating. Interment will follow in Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas.
