James "Jim" Blood, 55, of Wylie passed away Wednesday September 19th at 12:33 a.m. surrounded by his family and long-time friend. He was battling a cancer diagnosis from early this year. Born October 12, 1962 in Three Rivers, MI to Glenn and Mary Ellen (Yeomans) Blood.
He was married in Plano, TX, December 2009, to Lisa Sanchez where they raised their 3 pit bulls Zoey, Jack, and Remy before moving to Wylie in August of last year. He loved motorcycles, custom cars, online gaming and building and shooting guns. He had 32 years of dedication to the automotive industry and parts sales. He forever held his sharp wit, sarcasm, and sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife Lisa Blood; parents Glenn and Mary Ellen Blood; uncle and aunt Gary and Linda Blood; sister Julie Schirmer; brother and sister-in law Jeff and Kimberly Blood; in-laws Narcisco and Corina Sanchez; Tony and Tanya Sanchez; David and Wanda Sanchez; Regina and Justin Lamprecht; Matthew Sanchez; nephews Chris Schirmer, Brandon Sanchez, Gabriel Sanchez, Christian Lamprecht, and Lev Sanchez; nieces Robbyn Schirmer, Samantha Schirmer, Tori Sanchez, Chloe Blood, and Jordan Lesly; 2nd nephews Jaydon and Lucas; 2nd nieces Elle May, Abbey and Evelyn, along with many cousins and many friends.
A memorial service will be held at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home in Sachse, TX on September 29th at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Friends of Wylie Fire & Rescue to go towards "The Warrior" project.
