James Ronald Baker

James Ronald Baker was born in February 1948, in Dallas Texas. He passed away February 27, 2022, in the presence of his family and loved ones.

James is preceded in death by his parents James Ruben and Mary Dovie Baker, his sister Mary Carolyn McDowra, his brother Lonnie Floyd Baker, his beloved son Ronnie Glenn Baker, and grandson Shawn Carter Devoe.

He is survived by his life long bride, of 51 years Brenda Baker, brother Johnny and wife Linda Baker, sons Randy and wife Latisha Baker, Stephen Baker, daughter Shannon Baker, and grandkids Shawna, Chrystian, Cheyenne, Cason, and James.

While honorably serving in the United States Navy, as a machinist, he met the love of his life Brenda. He loved the outdoors and was a World Class Fisherman. You could always find him on the water with his boat. If he wasn't riding the waves, he was riding the streets on his motorcycle. Always looking for a place to camp and to show off his shooting skills. But all to be said he'd still love just to sit still on the beach.

James was known to be a person of peace. He was always someone to go to for advice. James loved cooking for his family. He was a great provider, protector, and such a strong father and friend. We are honored to call him husband, Dad, Grandpa, and friend. To the world he was just one man, but to his family he was the world.

A visitation will be held on Monday, March 7, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and the Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home 2925 5th St., Sachse, Texas 75048. Burial will be at 12:00 p.m. at Ridgeview Memorial Park Cemetery 2525 Central Expwy. N. a, Allen, Texas 75013
