James Alan Adcox

May 8, 1977 — April 21, 2024

James Alan Adcox entered this world in Dallas, Texas May 8, 1977 to Karen and Mark Adcox. He left this world on April 21, 2024.

James was a beautiful person inside and out. His eyes twinkled when he smiled and he had the best laugh. He loved his people with a strength and loyalty that was unparalleled. James’ love for animals was huge and he made animal friends everywhere he went sending selfies with them to his wife on a regular basis. James had a work ethic of integrity and took great pride in all that he did. He enjoyed nothing more than going to see live music and just having a good time being with those he cared about. He showed compassion and friendship to those who were suffering in any way. He was an amazing artist who had hoped to eventually share his talents publicly.

James had a life marked with addiction and trauma and in the end the battle was lost. Please keep watch over your loved ones; be available, talk and listen without judgement to them. Be kind to all you encounter. Life is short and the most important thing any of us can do is to be there for each other on this same short road we are all walking. Hold someone up when they cannot hold themselves. Remember our James when you do so.

James leaves behind his beloved wife Kim Lovell Adcox (and the entire Lovell family who loved him as their own), and all the plans they had, his mother, Karen Giesecke Fisher, brother Nick Adcox and family, sister Danielle Maldonado and husband, favorite stepfather Jay Yarley, stepmother Jo Adcox, stepsons Collin and Reagan Westcott and lifelong friend Clay Baker along with aunts, uncles, and cousins. James was predeceased by his father Mark Adcox and beloved grandparents whom he is now reunited with.

James should be here.

If love could have saved him, he would still be with us.

He will be missed more than words can ever convey.
