Jackie Burdette Garrison was born on June 8, 1928 in Rowlett, Texas as the only son of Jack Duncan Garrison and Ruth Lee (Hays) Garrison. He had 2 sisters, Betty Ruth (Hooks) and Carol Lee (Miller). He attended school in Garland, Texas. Jackie served in the United States Army in both World War II and the Korean War. He was a proud Veteran and Texan. He married Bill Earle Wooten and lived in Garland and Rowlett with their 4 children - Dora, Jackie Howard, Carolyn, and Marty. They were proud to call him Daddy or Pops. He also was known as PawPaw to his 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren, Uncle Jackie to his numerous nieces and nephews, and Big Jack to family and friends.
