Jack Windsor Vaughan, age 79 resident of Garland, Texas died March 31, 2019.
Jack was retired from his business Jack's Sign Service. Jack is survived his son Robert Lane and his wife Kim. His daughters Terri Lane and Debbie Courtney and her husband Mike. Daughter Lisa Abbott and son James Cole and his wife Vicky. His sister Stefanie Gerstle and her husband Don. Grandchildren Aaron and Daniel Courtney, Cory Lotspeich and Caitlin Page, Amanda Billings and Zach Flores. His great grandchildren Paisley Courtney and Ivy Courtney, James and Kaylee Page. He was proceeded in death by his wife Anita Vaughan, brother Paul Richard Vaughan and his parents.
Jack was born in Ironton, Ohio to the parents of Paul and Vivian Vaughan. He attended the University of Eastern Kentucky State University. He married Anita Cole in August of 1985. Jack was a devoted husband, father and loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved to play bridge, dominoes and cribbage. He had quite a flare for storytelling. He was in the Navy. He was a born again Christian and a member of Dunn Memorial Baptist Church in New Hope, Tx. He was a member of the Lions Club in Princeton, Tx.
The visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, April 3rd, at Charles W. Smith Funeral Home at 601 S. Tennessee McKinney, Texas. The times are 6:00-8:00 pm. Funeral service will be on Thursday morning April 4th at 10:00 followed by the burial at the Princeton Cemetery. Reverend Mike Courtney will officiate.
