Jack Carroll Miller

Jack Carroll Miller was born in Garland, Texas on November 18, 1923 to Buford Venson and Delia Jacobs Miller. He passed from this life in Rockwall, Texas on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 87 years of age.
Jack lived in Garland and was a trucker all his life. He hauled logs, lumber, fruit and construction materials. Jack was a hard worker who loved his family, his hat, his red Chevy pickup, his dog "Hot Rod" and racing, especially Sprint Car and NASCAR racing.
Jack was married to Gladys Lorine Cook for 61 years. They had three children, Jackie, Nancy and Johnny.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his brothers Robert Holman Miller and Buford Venson Miller, Jr. and his sister Margaret Rainey.
Jack is survived by his children, Jackie and wife, Vessie Miller, Nancy Miller and Johnny and wife, Betty Miller, his grandchildren, Stephanie and husband, Chris Nieto and John Miller, and his great-granddaughter Elaina Nieto.
VISITATION will be Tuesday, May 17, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home, 2925 Fifth Street, in Sachse, Texas 75048, 972-414-5050.
GRAVESIDE SERVICE will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 Thompson Cemetery in Copeville, Texas, with Reverend Larry Venable officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations to help defray the expense of the funeral arrangments will be accepted by the family.
