Jack Hood Beeson
October 22, 1948 – June 2, 2019
Mr. Jack "Buzz" Hood Beeson of Rowlett, Texas passed away unexpectedly at the age of 70, Sunday, June 2, 2019.
Jack was born in Rochester, Pennsylvania on October 22, 1948, to Jack and Elizabeth Beeson. He graduated from North Central High School, Indianapolis, Indiana in 1966 and went on to attend Ball State University before he joined the United States Navy in 1968. Jack served in the Vietnam War earning a Meritorious Unit Commendation, Gallantry Cross, Navy Unit Commendation and Vietnam Service Medal Commendation with One Bronze Star.
Jack had a special passion for working on and restoring Corvettes. His greater passion however, were his grandchildren. Jack lived for his grandchildren and if you knew him, you certainly knew all about the kids. He brought love and joy to our lives and made a lasting impression on everyone he met. Buzz, as he was known by his grandchildren, was loved and cherished beyond words by his grandkids and he will be terribly missed. Jack is survived by his three daughters, Brigitte (Beeson) Hartis and husband Brian Hartis of Sachse; Jessica Beeson of Rowlett; and Monica (Beeson) Folsom and husband Donald Folsom, II of Wylie and their mother Jean Beeson of Wylie. Four grandchildren; Peyton and Harper Hartis of Sachse and Declan and Savannah Folsom of Wylie. One sister; Peggy Barnelco of Carmel, Indiana, and numerous nephews. And, dearest friend, Todd Kerby of Rowlett. Jack is preceded in death by his father Jack Beeson and mother Elizabeth Beeson.

A memorial will be held at the DFW National Cemetery, Monday, June 17 at 1:00PM.
