J.B. Valentine, 86, passed away on March 10, 2025, in Rowlett, Texas. Born on August 19, 1938, in Bates, Arkansas, J.B. lived a life marked by hard work, generosity and deep devotion to family.
J.B. dedicated more than 50 years to the oil and gas industry, where his expertise and commitment left a lasting impact. The final decade of his career was particularly notable for his contributions to equipment design as majority owner of Midco Fabricators in Guthrie, Oklahoma, attracting customers from around the world.
Beyond his professional achievements, J.B. found great joy in spending time with his family and a passion for fishing, where you could find him on a boat, on his lakefront dock or on the riverbank. Known for his generous spirit, J.B. touched the lives of many with kindness and warmth.
J.B. is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 61 years, Anita Sue; daughter Wendi Valentine Smith and her husband Andy; son Chris Valentine and his wife Angela and grandchildren Brandon Valentine and Jadyn Valentine Smith and many other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Johnny, mother Nora, and brother Don.
A funeral service will be held on March 15, 2025, at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home, located at 2343 Lake Rd., Lavon, Texas, 75166. Visitation with family will begin at 2:00 PM followed by a Celebration of Life at 3:00 PM.
J.B.'s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May his legacy of generosity and love bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
