Irene (Curtis) Page, born in Kansas City, Missouri on Feb. 1st, 1927 is survived by her loving husband Don, Daughter, Donna of Mesa, Co.Son, Randall of Bedford, TX. Son, William "Chip" and wife Teri Shecter of Grand Junction, TX.Son, Norman and wife Susan of Rowlett, TX. She has 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Irene grew up in Elmhurst, Il. a suburb of Chicago. Her school years were occupied with her love of Ballet and was to make her debut in New York City. She chose to marry instead. It was a marriage that lasted for 65 years until she danced up to Heaven. After graduating York High School in Elmhurst in 1944, Irene went to the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana where she was a Delta Zeta Sorority girl. She met her future husband Don at a mixer dance. During ladies choice, she picked out Don from the back row and they were together ever since. It was a very good choice. They were married in Don's junior year and after graduation in 1948 they moved back to Elmhurst. Irene made fast friends wherever we moved to. First home was Berkeley, Il. a "Burb" of Chicago. Then to Elgin, Il.Next stop was Nashville, TN. and finally the last stop, Dallas, TX.in 1959 and it has been "Home" ever since,
Irene was a very active Mom and Clubwoman. She was President of White Rock Newcomers and Beta Sigma PHI Sorority. She was Ms. Garland in the Texas Senior American Pagent that made her a life-time member of the Cameo Club. Irene was a Blue Ribbon and Best of Show winner for 3 consecutive years in the State Fair of Texas Yeast Baking contest. Irene switched from Ballet to the Senior Dallas Skyliners Group made up of tappers over 60.

The Skyliners danced at State Fairs, Exhibitions, Coventions, and Nursing Homes. They were great!

In 1964, Irene and her co-leader toured New York City with their Girl Scout Troop and Colorado the following year. Irene was a member of many Bridge Clubs and was a competitive Pinochle player. Irene had a good life. She collected Bone China cups and saucers from all over the world and USA. She travelled everywhere in Europe by car, visited Red Square and The Kremlin Communist Russia. Toured the Forbidden City in China and floated down the Nile in Egypt like Cleopatra.

Irene will have a Memorial Service at Eastgate Funeral Home on September 3rd at Noon. Donations in her Honor to be made to a Charity of your choice.
Irene's final resting place will be at the Dallas/Ft.Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas.
