It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Hunter Thomas Kelly of McKinney, Texas on August 11, 2021 at the age of 31 years.
Hunter was born on December 22, 1989 in Bedford, Texas. He grew up in Bedford and graduated from Trinity High School in 2008. Hunter enjoyed running and was a member of the Cross Country team at Trinity. He attended University of Texas in Tyler. He most recently worked as a package driver for UPS.
As a boy he enjoyed building with Legos, playing video games, rollerblading and playing soccer. Hunter loved animals, especially his pet dogs, cat and lizard. Collecting rocks, fossils and spending time outdoors brought him much joy. But his true passion was fishing!
As an adult his passion for the outdoors and travel grew. Off roading in his ATV's, fishing and cookouts with friends made him very happy. He looked forward to a yearly crawfish boil. The Colorado mountains were his favorite place when not in Texas.
Hunter is preceded in death by his grandmothers Elizabeth Catherine Fancher and Johanna Luise Kelly. He is survived by parents Frank and Jeanne Kelly, sister Sarah Owens, brother-in-law Parker Owens, niece Reese Owens and numerous loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends.
A Visitation and Service will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Charles W. Smith & Sons funeral home in McKinney, Texas. The service will begin at 2:30.
