Howard Joseph Bernard

Howard Joseph Bernard was born on December 19, 1924 to Marie “Ben” Valsin Bernard and Aimee Meynard Bernard in Patterson, Louisiana and passed away May 13, 2016 in Garland, Texas. Recently of Garland, Texas he was formerly of Kingsland, Texas where he lived for over 20 years. Mr. Bernard was married to Patricia Ann Brockhaus on November 8, 1952 in Norman, Oklahoma. He was a Petroleum Engineer before retiring after 33 years. He is survived by his children, son; Tracy Bernard of Odessa, Texas, son; Ted Bernard and partner Brian San Souci of Garland, Texas, daughter; Sally Bonham and husband Zach Bonham, Texas, daughter; Mary Bernard of Garland, Texas, son; Terry Bernard and wife Christy of Heath, Texas and 9 Grandchildren.

He was preceded in Death by; his parents; wife; Patricia Ann Bernard, brothers Roy Bernard and Alvin Bernard, sisters; Louella Darby, Louise Wattigny and Yvonne Orlando. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Lions Club International.
