Henry Clinton Hinson
October 21, 1950 — January 2, 2015
Henry Clinton Hinson, age 64, left this life for a new life in Heaven, January 2, 2015 at Beacon Harbor Senior Care Center, Rockwall TX, from complications of cancer. He was born October 21, 1950 in DeQueen, Arkansas and moved to Texas at an early age.
He is preceded in death by his father, Thurman Hinson; brother, Johnny Hinson; brother Thurman Hinson; and brother Jerry Hinson.
He is survived by his mother, Willie Henderson; brother Robert Hinson; sisters Betty Rodriguez, Alice Salazar, Thelma Hinson, Linda Wagner, Paula Honea, Mary Powell, Nancy Peacock, and Norma Schanatz; sons Allen Hinson and Randall Hinson; grandson Colten Hinson; granddaughter Corelee Hinson; and numerous other family members and many friends.
Henry was at one time a champion rider in the Huntsville State Rodeo and later was a horse-trainer. His greatest joy was when he was riding his Paint horse, Princess; he also enjoyed going on area trail rides, attending area sale barns, and sometimes riding horses into the sale barn arena when those horses would not let another rider on them.
Henry was a hard worker at whatever he did. He worked as a mechanic, a ranch-hand, worked with leather, and was a saddle-maker.
A Visitation Service will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2015 from 3:00-5:00 PM at the Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home located at 2925 5th St., Sachse, TX, 75048. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church located at 310 S. Main St., Josephine, TX, 75164 with interment following in the Josephine cemetery.
