Henry Harlond Clark

Henry "Hank" Harlond Clark was born April 13, 1933 in McKinney, Texas to parents, Henry Roscoe Clark and Ester Fay Haygood. He was the youngest of 6 children. After high school, he served in the Navy from 1952-1954. During his service he was awarded the China, Korean, National Defense and United Nations service medals. After his honorable discharge he returned to the Dallas area and became a manager at Turner Tire and Service. He served in that capacity until his retirement. He married his sweetheart, Martha White Clark on May 17, 1967. This year they celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary.
Hank enjoyed life and his many hobbies. He loved watching sports of all kinds, going to the racetrack, working in his yard and tinkering around the house. One of his greatest joys was taking care of his loving chihuahua, Sugarbugger.
Hank passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his parents and his 5 siblings. He is survived by his beloved wife, Martha White Clark of Garland, TX, daughter, Jerri L. Berry of Mesquite, Texas, 2 granddaughters Mikki McGuire of Caddo Mills, TX and Angela Spurgeon of Arlington, Texas and many nieces and nephews. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. Henry was truly loved by all whom he touched in life.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Calvary Hill Baptist Church, 3300 LaPrada Dr. Mesquite, Tx 75150. Rev. James O’Dell will officiate. The family requests the honor of your presence at a reception immediately following in the church fellowship hall.
