Helen Pauline Starkey went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, October 21, 2011 at the age of 58.
She was born in Delaware, Ohio, to Karl and Mary Park Starkey. She was a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) and Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) working in McKinney, Texas for several years and then later in Sherman, Texas.
Helen is survived by sisters Edna Cox of Ashland, Ohio and Ruth Summers of Sherman, Texas. She is also survived buy Christal and Devynn Bacon and Scott, Leesa, Logan and Taylor Cox all of Ashland, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers-in-law Harold Cox and Ben Summers.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Sherman and was a former Knollwood city council person.
Helen was a kind and gentle soul who will be greatly missed by her family, the loving members of the Asbury Sunday School class, her church family, her many friends and also by her faithful companions Buttons and Sara.
If desired, donations bay be made in her name to Home Hospice of Grayson County in lieu of flowers.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at First United Methodist Church, 401 North Elm in Sherman, Texas, 903 893-6514.
Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Joe Ed Goolsby officiating.
Burial will be in Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney, Texas at 1:30 p.m.
