On March 3, 2020 the Angel of Death took a mother, grandmother,and friend Helen Weldon Shelton Spencer.
Helen was born on May 25, 1930 to parents Sam and Julia Shelton in Altoga Texas.
Helen married W. C.(Dub) Spencer. Out of their Union of Marriage they had 6 children: Willie Wilmeth of Van Alstyne, Texas; Bryan (Loretta) Spencer of Van Alstyne, Texas; John Spencer of Van Alstyne, Texas; Frankie Spencer of Blue Ridge, Texas and Shelia(Ritchie) McFarland of Bonham Texas. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Helen was preceeded in death by her parents, her husband, and a son, Rickie Ray Spencer.
A viewing will be held 6:00- 8:00 PM Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Chapel, 601 S. Tennessee Street, Mckinney Tx 75069.
Graveside Service will held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 6, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Van Alstyne Cemetery on S Sherman Street , Van Alstyne Tx 75495.
