Passed away on December 26, 2015.


Helen was born on August 31, 1929 in Norfolk Virginia. Her father was Everett Henry Mason and her mother was Elsie Mae Dones Mason, both now deceased. Her sister, Alice Cralle and her niece, Alice Lou Dumville are also deceased.


Helen attended public schools in Norfolk and also the Norfolk Division of the College of William & Mary, now known as Old Dominion College. She then went to the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, graduating in 1951. She was a member of Delta Delta Delta.


She taught school in Norfolk and moved to Texas in 1953 after marrying Naval officer Robert Bray Boyle of University Park. In Texas she taught in grade schools in Kingsville, Kilgore, and in day schools in Dallas. At different times she was a member of AAUW, the Chi Omega Mothers Club, the Dallas Civitan Club and the Delta Delta Delta Alumnae Chapter.


She was an honorary member of the Women of the Motion Picture Industry. She was also an active member of Central Christian Church, Dallas, participating in the Christian Womens Fellowship and the Shank Sunday school class.


Helen loved to travel, inspired by her younger daughter Margaret and made trips to many places in Europe, Asia, the Caribbean, Hawaii, Mexico, and Canada, as well in the United States.


She was an exceptionally beautiful and gracious lady.


In addition to her parents, sister and niece, Helen was preceded in death by her son Robert Bray Boyle Jr. She is survived by her husband and by her two daughters, Mary B. Bahr of McKinney and Margaret E. Boyle of University Park, also by her son in law Mark J. Bahr, and grandchildren Collin D. Bahr, Carson E. Bahr, and Emily P. Bahr all of McKinney. She also leaves a nephew, Thomas Lee Boyle Jr and Family, of Dallas.


Helen’s memorial will be conducted on Saturday January 16 at 2:00 P.M. in the main sanctuary of Central Christian Church, 4711 Westside Drive, Dallas, TX. 75209. Memorials may be made to the church.
