Hazel Ruth Peters

Hazel Ruth Peters, 89, of McKinney, Texas, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away on April 17, 2019 in McKinney, Texas. She was born November 7, 1929 in Culleoka, Texas to William Aaron and Lois Alexander Aaron.

Hazel was a former member of Cornerstone Worship Centre and Victory Christian Church.

She is survived by her sons Johnny Wayne Peters, Robert Earl Peters, grandchildren Kimberly Gilbert and husband Charles Gilbert, Anson Baxter, Johnny Lee Peters and Jeremy Peters and wife Jocelyn Peters, great grandchildren Kacie Gilbert, Jeremy Gilbert, Prestyn Peters, Parker Peters, Gavin Baxter and several nieces and nephews.

Hazel was preceded in death by her husband Laurin J. Peters, her son David Lee Peters, daughter Linda Ruth Peters and grandson Robert Earl Peters, Jr.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 22, 2019, from 6pm-8pm in the Chapel W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 601 S. Tennessee Street, McKinney, Texas. On Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at 2:00 p.m., Pastor James Stephens will officiate the graveside service at Highland Cemetery, 1173 CR 364, Melissa, Texas 75454.
