Harriet Fran Leathers

In loving memory and forever in our hearts, Harriet Frances "Fran" Leathers was granted her angel wings and went home October 30, 2018. Her final moments were spent surrounded by her loving husband, family, and friends. Fran has left a beautiful legacy behind and made a huge impact on many lives.

Fran was born in Pike Creek, Ohio on March 14, 1941. She graduated from Marion-Franklin H.S. in Columbus, Ohio. She grew up with her best friend and sister, Linda Wiese. Fran spent most her life in Texas and was a member of The Church of Christ in Farmersville, Texas.

Fran was a woman of strength. She spent time in an orphanage with her sister but later became a United States Marine. She met her husband Tim while they both served as Marines in California. They were married for 58 years. Fran was a solid foundation for her family. She was their rock and never gave up on anyone. She loved them unconditionally.

Fran was kind, loving, and generous. She loved her country and God. Fran was an avid golfer. She loved playing golf with her sister and all her friends. She also loved her dogs. Even though she has left this world, her faith and love will continue to shine bright through her family. She was a true patriot.

Fran is survived by her husband, Tim Leathers, 2 daughters, 5 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 1 great grandson, 1 sister, and 1 half-sister. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandy Dawn Leathers.

Fran will be greatly missed.
