Harold Mack Kornegay

Harold Mack Kornegay, age 69 of Wills Point, Texas, passed away on January 8, 2018 in McKinney, Texas. He was born on May 15, 1948 in Plainview, Texas to Harold Jack and Esther Louise Kornegay. Harold worked as an automotive repair technician and was a member of the Christian faith. He worked for Montgomery Ward for several years, where he made many life-long friends. Harold was an avid fisherman and was a member of the bass fishing clubs, and he also loved gardening and yard work. He looked forward to spending his retirement working in his vegetable garden and planting trees and flowers in his yard. Harold loved his family very much, and his dogs were also very important to him. He will be missed dearly by everyone that knew and loved him.

Harold is survived by his daughters, Amber Nobles and Rhonda Teague; son, Rodney Kornegay; wife, Jackie Kornegay; brother, Ted Kornegay; five grandchildren, Matthew, Whitney, Ashley, Randy, and Renee; and seven great-grandchildren, Conner, Carlie, Colton, Clayton, Malachi, May-leigh, and Angelica. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home, 601 S. Tennessee St., McKinney, TX 75069 with Pastor Duane Crane officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
