Harla Sue Rackley

July 27, 1949 — February 10, 2017

Harla Sue (Hall) Rackley, age 67, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 10, 2017. She was born July 27, 1949, in Marlow, Oklahoma to the late Harold & Mary Sue (Stone) Hall. She graduated from Marlow High School as a member of the class of 1967. She started working for the bank directly out of school, and then resigned to begin her family. Harla had three girls, Michele, Paige, and Amber. To stay involved with her children, Harla volunteered as a cheer coach, Brownie leader, and gymnastics coach. She also served faithfully at her church, Christian Life Cathedral.
Harla married Jack Rackley on August 17, 1988. Later, in 1993, they moved to Muskogee, OK where she began to work as a loan officer for The Home Store. In December 2011, Harla retired and moved to Prosper, TX to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Her favorite pastime was following her grandchildren’s sports activities. She was truly their biggest cheerleader.
Harla’s last week of earthly life was spent surrounded by her husband, children, and grandchildren; visiting, reminiscing, and laughing, just like old times. Before entering the gates of Heaven and seeing Michele and Meme, Harla spent her last day with Paige and Amber listening to her favorite worship music, The Gaither Gospel Band. It was a beautiful entrance into Heaven’s door.
Harla is survived by her husband, Jack Rackley of Prosper, TX; daughter, Melissa Paige Raven and Tony of Prosper, TX; daughter, Amber Brooke Kirksey and Robert of Frisco, TX; Godmother, Bernice Young of Marlow, OK; 4 grandchildren, Devin McCord (19), Baylor Steward (17), Cole Raven (13), Madeline Kirksey (2) and extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Sue Hall; her daughter, Michele Cooper; and Godfather, Tom Young.
There will be an intimate Celebration of Life at the family home Sunday, February 19. Lastly, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity.
