Grady Martin Prince, also known as nandaddy to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, of McKinney, Texas passed away on December 6, 2023. Grady was born in McKinney on July 6, 1951 to Hubert Grady and Bettsy Rebecca (Horne) Prince. He grew up in McKinney and graduated from McKinney High School in 1969. He owned his own trucking company for many years and traveled across the United States. He also worked as a mechanic. Grady was well known for his ability to grill and smoke some of the best food you could find and was always cooking and feeding his family and friends.
Grady is survived by his daughter Lynn Scalf and husband Ken of Princeton, Texas; granddaughter Heather Harlett and husband Kris, of Euless, Texas; grandson Justin Prince of Princeton, Texas; granddaughter Bailey Prince of Presque Isle, Maine; great-grandchildren Aiden and Case Prince, Emilee and Austin Harlett and Lainey Forcier; Sister Sherry Warren and husband Darrell of McKinney, sister Peggy Prince of McKinney; brother Joe Prince and wife Kelley of Princeton; and many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Bettsy Prince; brother Howard Ray Prince; and his son Grady Lee Prince.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
