Gordon Myrl Smithey

Gordon Myrl Smithey, born January 19, 1930 in Frost, TX. He passed away April 15, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Dorothy (Susie) Smithey, his sons Arthur Smithey, Leslie Smithey and wife Pam. Myrl is also survived by his sister Nancy Gorden and husband Elton, his brother Ferrell and wife Brenda and a sister-in-law, Caroline Smithey.
He was preceded in death by his parents William Arthur and Nayonn Smithey, sister Lynette Choate, brothers Darrell (Zeke) Smithey, Hessell Smithey and Don Smithey.
Myrl served in the U.S. Air Force and was employed by the City of Dallas for 28 years.
Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, April 17 at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, McKinney, TX. Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 18 at Frost Baptist Church, Frost, TX.
