Gordon (Jeff) Wiley Jeffrey Jr., passed away on October 24, 2019 in Allen, Texas. He was born on October 18, 1931 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Gordon and Ethyl Jeffrey. Jeff is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Shirley Ann Jeffrey. Jeff is survived by his daughter Lori Engler (Bill), Amy Ervin (Bill); four grandchildren Michael O'Rourke, Robert O'Rourke (Jennifer), Alexander Ervin and Nicholas Ervin; five greatgrandchildren Ethan Sweet, Collin Helton, Parker Helton, Tucker O'Rourke and Lila O'Rourke; two sisters Shirley Smith and Dolores Walters.
Jeff graduated from Pittsburgh Technical Institute as an Industrial Management Engineer and holds a Bachelor's of Science Degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He was past President of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Institute of Industrial Engineers.
Jeff served our country for 8 years (2 terms) in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for the Federal Government for 30 years in various positions in multiple cities. Upon his retirement in 1990, he was Chief of the Methods and Standards Branch for the Defense Administration Services Region (DCASR) in Dallas. He was a mason for over 60 years and a member of the Scottish rite and Shriners.
Jeff was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Family and his faith were most important to him.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, Nov 2nd at Resurrection Lutheran Church located at 1919 Independence Parkway in Plano with Reverend William Irons officiating.
