Gloria Elena Simmons

Age 74, passed from this life December 20, 2010 in Wylie, Texas with her family by her side. Gloria was born June 10, 1936 in Mercedes, Hildalgo County, Texas to parents, Rafael and Helen (Saenz) Verduzco. She received her bachelor’s of Sciences Degree from Incarnate Word College in San Antonio, Texas Gloria was a parishner of ST. Anthony Catholic Church, Wylie, Texas. She was married March 28, 1961 in Mercedes, Texas to James Simmons. She is also survived by his daughter, Suzanne Brewer and her husband Gary of Plano, Texas, son, James A Simmons and wife Laura of McKinney, Texas, grandchildren, Brittney, Lindsey, Austin and Delani, great grandchildren, Riley and Tyler. Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, Rafael and Elena Verduzco. VISITATION will be 6 - 8 P.M. Tuesday and Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 P.M. Tuesday evening December 21, 2010 at Charles W Smith & Sons Sachse Chapel, 2925 Fifth St, Sachse, Texas 75048. FUNERAL SERVICE will be 4 P.M. Wednesday December 22, 2010 at the Sachse Chapel. INTERMENT SERVICE will be in Restlawn Cemetery, LaFeria, Texas.
