Gloria Garcia

Gloria Garcia, a lifelong resident of McKinney, Texas, passed away on December 17, 2017 at the age of 68. She was born on December 27, 1948 in McKinney to John Garcia, Sr. and Victoria DelTorro Garcia. Gloria worked as a machine operator for many years before she retired a few years ago. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, watching westerns on television, and cheering for her favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys. Gloria will be missed dearly by her family and friends, but she will never be forgotten. They will keep her memory alive and strong by sharing their stories of her with generations to come.

Gloria is survived by her son, Eddie Villanueva; daughters, Sandra Vela, Teresa Garcia, and Amy Garcia; siblings, Linda Garcia, Susie Fuller, Rebecca Medina, Victoria Herrera, John Garcia, Jr., Raymond Garcia, Stevan Garcia, and Rosando Garcia; eleven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Garcia, Sr. and Victoria DelTorro Garcia; brother, Larry Garcia; and sister, Sandra Garcia.

The family will receive friends during visitation from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home, 601 S. Tennessee St., McKinney, Texas 75069.
