Glenda S Spurlock

Glenda Sue (Dyer) Spurlock was born in Dallas, Texas on July 20th, 1951. She was incredibly proud of her "Born in Big D" status since she was the first in her family to be born in Texas. Glenda grew up in Garland and lived there her entire life. She met Ronnie Spurlock at South Garland High School and kept her high school sweetheart for life. Glenda graduated in 1969 and married Ronnie July 10th, 1971. She spent the next 47 years proudly being introduced as his "first wife". Glenda and Ronnie did not have children of their own, but happily doted on their nieces and nephews. She was a longtime member of Centerpoint Church where her beautiful eyes and infectious humor made her presence a pleasure. Glenda was known for her beauty and being dressed for the occasion. She loved making an entrance and would often arrive a little late in order to do just that. According to Second Peter, a thousand years on earth is as a day in heaven. Ronnie only had to wait 4 minutes for Glenda to make her entrance. She went home to our Lord on September 14th, 2021.

Glenda is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, and her husband.

She is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that count as family.
