Glenda Merle Beach

Glenda Merle Beach, beloved wife of Jimmy C. Beach and mother to John T. Addicks, III, as well as her bonus children, James Beach, Melanie Wintermeyer and Melissa Beach, passed away on October 1, 2024, at the age of 71. She leaves behind a void her family cannot fill. 

Glenda was born in Farmersville, Texas in 1953 to LeRoy and Marlene Hoffard. The family later moved to Wylie, Texas where she grew up and attended elementary, middle and high school. She was a large part of the starting years of LeRoy’s Bait House along with her parents and siblings. She attended the Beauty Academy and was a beautician for multiple decades in Garland, TX. 

Glenda was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, all of which were her pride and joy. Her family and friendships encompassed all aspects of her life, and each was special to her. She knew that these relationships, like gardens, take work to maintain, and she was always willing to put in the effort. 

Glenda was married to her soulmate, Jimmy for 34 years. She was well known for her kind heart and adventurous soul. Nothing stood in the way of her trying something new and exploring the world. As a grandmother, “MeMe” was always up for taking the kids on exciting outings, hosting their Easter celebrations, and generally spoiling them rotten.

Glenda was the heart and soul of our family, and she will be dearly missed.

Glenda leaves behind, husband Jimmy, children, John and Theresa Addicks, James and Christina Beach, Melanie and Dan Wintermeyer, and Melissa Beach, sister, Brenda Gray and husband Mike, grandchildren, Skylar, Matt, Sean, Fantasia, Faith, Colin, Charlie and Jack, two great-grandchildren and two on the way, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
